On Monday, World Labs revealed an AI system that transforms images into explorable, interactive 3D environments.

How does it work?

You just upload any photo and the AI turns it into a 3D scene you can explore with keyboard and mouse directly in your browser.

What makes it special?

World Labs’ scenes stay consistent and follow real physics with no sudden changes or glitches.

What can you do in these worlds?

Adjust camera effects, control depth of field, change lighting, and modify objects in real-time, unlike most 3D AI tools.

Any limitations?

Yupp. You can only move within a small area, and sometimes objects blend together oddly. But it's still in “early preview.”

Who made this?

It was founded by AI pioneer Fei-Fei Li, with $230M in funding from Andreessen Horowitz and others.
