Democrat Gottheimer and Republican LaHood want “commonsense” protection of US data and AI leadership.

Italy blocked access nationwide.
Taiwan banned it for government use.
South Korea blocked employee access.
Australia banned it from government systems.
Texas banned state device use.
What's the broader impact?
This is part of the growing US-China tech war. Some senators want a total ban on Chinese AI imports and exports.
