OpenAI and Google are pushing for AI policy changes to the Trump administration's AI Action Plan. They claim that restrictive regulations threaten U.S. innovation/competitiveness.

What are they asking for?

OpenAI wants federal laws to override state restrictions, and Google warns about “fragmented state-level regulations.” Both are pushing for looser copyright rules that allow AI training on public content without restrictive licensing.
