On Tuesday, President Trump announced Stargate. $500B plan to build massive AI data centers across America with OpenAI, Oracle, and SoftBank.

Hours later, Elon Musk publicly trashed the plan.

What happened?

Musk claimed on X that OpenAI and SoftBank are broke, saying “They don't actually have the money” and “SoftBank has well under $10B secured.”
