Yesterday, IMAX partnered with Camb.AI. The goal is to automatically translate movies into 140 languages in real-time.

How does it work?

Camb.AI combines 2 of its AI systems together:

• BOLI translates the dialogue

• MARS recreates it in the actor's emotional tone.

What’s the point?

More people want to watch content in their own language than ever. Netflix's non-English viewership is up a whopping 90% in the UK alone.
