A man offered me $425,000 for the newsletter you’re reading right now. I said “no.” Why would I do something so stupid? I’ll explain, but first, here’s how I got here.

I started my digital marketing agency, The Quote Dog, in April 2022. Before that, I was half owner of a startup for 8 years. I listed over $3 million worth of product online, marketed it, and sold it. I never saw a cent.

I won’t get into the dirty deets, but I got ripped off. My business partner removed me from the business and threatened me. I was in fear for my life and for my family’s lives. We sold everything and moved to Florida.

My first day in Florida, I met with a lawyer about filing a lawsuit against him. He said I had a good case, but life’s short. Did I want to be in that nastiness for years, or did I want to move on? So I opened my laptop, made a website, and The Quote Dog was born.

Bot Eat Brain was my 10th client. Anthony Castrio, the previous owner, posted a job description. I created a mock article of Bot Eat Brain, and sent him this cover letter:

Then ChatGPT came out. I was able to use AI to grow my business and automate the boring, tedious, non-profitable tasks.

Bot Eat Brain wasn’t worth the money to write, but I loved it. I learned priceless things every day. I picked up tidbits to boost my income and automate my workflow. This turned me into an AI addict.

In April, Anthony offered to sell me the newsletter for $40,000. I should’ve said no, but I couldn’t imagine my life without Bot Eat Brain at that point.

Like smart money people say… I bought it with emotion and justified it with logic.
