Google's toy bends reality ⚛️ 🔥
On Wednesday, Google DeepMind unveiled AlphaQubit. It’s an AI system that finds and fixes errors in quantum computers with record-breaking accuracy.
What the hell is a Quantum Computer?
It uses quantum physics to solve problems in hours that would take regular computers billions of years. It uses qubits (quantum bits) that can be 0 and 1 at the same time.
Ah, what's the breakthrough?
AlphaQubit uses AI to spot quantum errors more accurately than ever. It’s 6% better than top methods and 30% better than standard approaches.
How does it work?
It learns from simulated quantum data, then adapts to handle real hardware errors in Google's Sycamore processor.
Any impressive features?
Though trained on just 25 operations, it accurately handles sequences of more than 100,000.
So, it’s perfect?
Nah. It’s still too slow for real-time error correction in fast quantum processors.
I see. Why do I care?
Google plans to open-source the system for the research community. Quantum computers could revolutionize everything from drug discovery to climate modeling… if we can make them reliable. 🤷♂️

On Wednesday, Salesforce unveiled the Agentforce Partner Network. It allows AI agents to connect with external tools and data sources.
What can these agents do?
They can handle tasks across multiple systems, inside and outside of Salesforce, using partner connections like IBM for banking, Google for workspace tools, and more.
What about data?
Data Cloud adds audio and video support, 50 new connectors, and subsecond data processing. It handled “quadrillions of records” last quarter.
What makes it so great?
It uses zero copy networking, which allows the data to move between platforms without duplicating. This saves on storage costs.
Who are all the partners?
AWS, Databricks, IBM, Microsoft Azure, Google BigQuery, and Snowflake.
Why do I care?
Salesforce says it offers better ROI than building on OpenAI or Azure by connecting directly to business data.
