On Thursday, Google DeepMind unveiled its table tennis robot. It achieved human-level speed and performance on real-world tasks.

What can it do?

This bot beat all beginners and won 55% of matches against intermediate players. It's officially a “solidly amateur human-level player.”

So it’s better than any human?

Nah. It won 45% of 29 games overall but lost every match against advanced players.
