Yesterday, ElevenLabs launched ElevenLabs Reader. It allows you to use AI to read articles, books, documents, and more.

I like big books and I cannot lie. 🤓 📚

What’s the point?

It allows you to “read” any written content hands-free instead of looking at your phone, which is unsafe or impractical.

What’s so great about it?

ElevenLabs’ synthetic voices are some of the best available. You can select voices from different genders, ages, use cases, and more categories. Early testers claim the voices are high-quality and consistent.

How much does it cost?

It’s free for the first 3 months.

How can I use it?

It’s currently only available in English for iOS users in the US, UK, and Canada. ElevenLabs says they’ll be adding more languages and an Android app.

Does it use OpenAI’s new voice engine?

Nah. OpenAI demoed that in May, but announced today that it’s delaying the model’s launch.
